To insert links you click the link/chain icon or the Insert menu and choose Links. You then have two options: External links or Course links.

External links

External links is just like any other link on a web page. It takes the user to a resource somewhere on the internet, any resource.

Select a word or sentence in your text and then insert link and you will only need to supply the address. The text you selected will then be linked.

If you click External link without selecting text you can enter both the link text and the address. The link will be placed wherever you had your marker when clicking insert.

You can edit a link by clicking it once and then click Link options in the small popup.

Course links

If you instead would like to add a link to course content (page, assignment, quiz, announcement, discussion, module or course menu item) you can use Course link. You will then see a list of course content and you simply click the content you would like to link to.

In the example below a link to an assignment called Hangman is inserted. You can also select text first and then insert a course link, just as with the external link example above.
